I’ve had 2 tourist visas, just extended the 30 days taking me up to the 12th of October but I’m traveling back from a holiday. I will be in Phuket and can get to immigration there. Will they give me 7 days? I will have time to get back to Bangkok then exit the country.
You can only extend your visa once. If you need more time, you can apply for a tourist visa outside of Thailand or exit and re-enter on visa exemption depending on your nationality.

It is true. It is too early to file for an extension. You must do it on the last 2 weeks of your current entry stamp.

Yes, that is correct. However the immigration officer has the discretion to issue 7 days or 30 days extension of your tourist visa depending on your nationality and number of travels to Thailand in the past.

The consulate will issue a tourist visa which you must utilize within 90 days from date of issue. At the airport, the immigration officer will give you a stamp that will allow you to stay for 30 days or for 60 days maximum.
