Hey, i am waiting for new passport from the norwegian embassy in Bangkok, can i extend my visa with my now cancelled passport? The sides Are cut up and i got a stamp inside saying «passport cancelled, visas still still remain valid»
No, you cannot get the extension now. You needed to apply for the extension BEFORE your passport was canceled. Extensions cannot be issued in a canceled passport.
Hi. how many times I can extend visa with you. I have swedish pass. tanks
You are eligible for one 30-day extension on either a free entry stamp or a 60-day tourist visa stamp.
Can I transfer my Visa stamp from my old Passport to my new Passport? Is there a cost for this?
If you entered Thailand using a visa sticker in your old passport, you cannot transfer the visa to a new passport. Visas are not transferable.
However, if you are currently in Thailand on an extension of stay (check your passport stamp to confirm), you can transfer the extension to your new passport. Visit the immigration office that issued your extension with both your old and new passports, and they will facilitate the transfer.
When I get a new Passport on expiration of my old one, may I have my Visa stamp transfered to the new one? Is there a cost for this?
Thank you.
If you are currently in Thailand on an extension of stay (check your passport stamp to confirm), you can transfer the extension to your new passport. Visit the immigration office that issued your extension with both your old and new passports, and they will facilitate the transfer.
While most immigration offices do not charge a fee for transferring extension stamps, some may charge a 500 baht fee.
How do I renew my 90 day report by email
You cannot renew your visa by email. You can file a 90-day report online or by the help of an agent. You can file an online 90-day report from 2 weeks before the due date down until 1 week before the due date. Outside that window, you would have to file in person.
Hi there! Was living in Pattaya almost 9 years ago, now I’m abroad, how to get the police clearance certificate ? Our embassy cannot give us the fingerprints hard copy for this
You can apply for a Thai police clearance certificate from outside the country through the Royal Thai Police Special Branch Office. Their website, https://pcscenter.sbpolice.go.th/en, provides the necessary information and application forms.
Hello there,
My name is Paul Salter & I have recently recovered from Covid(end of October). I have a QR code and a letter of covid recovery plus proof of both vaccinations. Before I travel and when I arrive I am meant to have Covid PCR tests, but having had Covid weeks ago they will probably still be positive even though I have recovered.
Do I still take a test before my flight and when I enter Thailand or does my recovery Covid QR code cover me for both.
I haven’t applied for my Thailand Pass yet as I fly on December 1st 2021 with Thai Airways from London to Bangkok.
Thank You for your help on this matter.
Mr Paul Salter
Hi Paul,
Yes, you need to apply for Thailand Pass and you will submit the document or certificate of recovery. For traveling to Thailand, you still need the RT PCR test. It is recommended that you travel to Thailand at least 1 month after recovery in order to qualify for entry and you need to test negative from COVID.
I am entering Thailand on the 45 day visa exemption, and will be completing my 14 days quarantine in Pattaya. How soon can I apply for the 30 day extension. Can I immediately apply after I finish my quarantine which will be 15 days after entry, or do I have to wait until the 45 days are nearly expired. I am planning on staying in Thailand for 73 days total. Thank you for your assistance.
Dear Ian Crocker.
Good day.
You can extend your visa exemption 7 days before your visa will expire at the immigration.
Have a good day.
Yord.
thanks for answer
i have a Thai Insurance already, which i had used to get the O-A extension last year.
This insurance i will renew for the next extension.
I mean the NEW health insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 or 3 million baht
for medical expenses and treatment of Covid.
Can i use my foreign health insurances with a coverage of Euro1.000.000 in this case.
My insurance is only for inpatient benefit.
When will the new regulations for Covid insurance be introduced?
My extension will end on 28. August 2021.
How many days in advance can I apply for the new extension ?
Maybe i can still get it with the current regulations.
PS what i not understand is: some of my friends get yearly extensions based on O Visa
they don’t need any insurance
Dear W. Schmitt,
Good day.
O-A is a retirement visa acquired outside Thailand therefore there will be requirements different from the normal retirement visa O acquired inside Thailand. Please be advised you can apply 1 month in advance but we suggest to do it at least 15 days prior to the expiration of your visa.
Thank you.
