Doing a border run to a neighboring country which will entitle you to another 30 days visa-free entry to Thailand would be cheaper than applying for an extension at the Immigration Office.

The ED visa that you hold right now can only be extended for 7 days in Thailand. If you wish to stay 30 days more, you have to leave Thailand on April 24th and you re-enter through international airport if you qualify for the Visa Exemption stamp.

From the previous answers i read that you can not extend a 14 days visa if you arrive over land. On another website I read this: If you have a standard 14 day or 30 day visa (one you got on arrival by land or air into Thailand), then you can extend your visa for a maximum of 7 days only. It costs 1900 baht ($60).

The 7-day extension is possible to those under the Visa Exemption Rule, for the Cambodians, they are not under the VER therefore, they are not able to extend for 7 days. If you are Swedish for example and you got 15 days at the border, you are able to extend it for 7 days and you pay 1900 baht.

The visa extension cannot be longer than your passport, they have given you a wrong stamp. Your work permit can be longer than your passport validity or visa validity.
