I am going to apply for one visa extension. I already extended for work permit 1 year. As I know, immigration will give 30 days visa first. After that I need to extend for another 11 months. In this case, I would like to know that can I apply another 11 months extension before it will be expired? And how long I can apply before expire date as I will go abroad around expire date.
You may apply for the extension at any time within the 30 days period, as long as you have already prepared all the required documents. It is best that you coordinate with your employer on this matter.
My visa runs out on March 7th, but I am leaving Thailand to go back to America on March 15th. I have already extended my visa for 30 days. What other option do I have for my visa since I will just have a week left? What are the consequences if I just stayed for that extra week? Can I renew for 7 days somehow? Thank you!
You cannot further extend your visa exemption stamp because you have already used the 30 days extension. You need to make at least a day trip to the border and you will be given a new 30 days visa exemption stamp.
Good morning! I am Russian enter to Thailand 12 feb my visa expire on 12 march, WW30 visa class. May I know , please . If I like to extend my stay for other 30 days- is it possible? Thank you.
You are able to extend the 30-day stamp for another 30 days at the local immigration office. For the extension, you just have to submit one passport size photo (4cm x 6cm) with white background and pay the fee of 1,900 Thai baht. This is a same-day process.
I entered Thailand on 16th Jan and extended my visa for a further 30days on the 16th Feb. I wish to stay until the 27th March….am I able to get a further visa extension or would I have to leave the country and re-enter?
I am an Australian citizen
You need to leave Thailand on or before March 17th. Please check your stamp if this is actually March 17th or March 27th. You will travel to a nearby country and you re-enter Thailand through an international airport. You will be given a new 30-day entry stamp.

My visa runs out on the 1st of March and I wanted to stay for an extra 7 days. How can I find out more about this? Or do I have to extend it by another 30?
You may apply for an extension at the nearest immigration office in your area of residence.
I entered Thailand on a one month free visa. Then renewed my visa for one more month at the visa office. My visa runs out on the 1st March and I am leaving Thailand on the 15th March. Can I renew my visa for one more month doing a visa run to Myanmar.
Depending on your nationality, you may either be given 30 days or 15 days entry stamp when you go to the border in Myanmar.

The chat doesnt seem to work. I have a ED intership visa that expires on the 13 of april, my flight home leaves on the 6 of may. But for the last period I dont need an internship visa since i will only be here as a tourist so I only need a 30 day tourist visa. How can I get that ?

Depending on your nationality, you might be permitted to stay inside Thailand for 30 days without the need to apply for any visa. For more information, you may check the Thai MFA website below:

I went to the Pattaya Immigration Office in Jomtien today to apply for 30 day tourist extension. My visa expires in 9 days so I thought I would renew it early just in case it was rejected for some reason, that way I would have ample time to book flights and hotel to my next destination. I was told it was to early to apply and to return 2 days before my visa expires which is an absolute joke. I applied on a Tuesday at 10:30am and the Immigration office was packed to the rafters which might have something to do with it. Waste of my time and money.
There are immigration offices that would accept applications for an extension for as early as 2 weeks prior to the expiration date. Although, not all of them across Thailand observe this policy which apparently is the case with the immigration office in Pattaya.
Hello.
I have entered Thailand on the free 30 day arrival stamp. Now I wish to stay longer in Thailand, I don’t know yet if it will be for 2 or 3 months more.
I will go to Laos to get a single-entry tourist visa, but is it possible to get that extended when I have already been here for a month prior to the new visa? And should I get the extension at an immigration office or will I need to do a border run?
With your current entry stamp, you have the option to extend it to another 30 days at the nearest immigration office in Thailand. If you wish to stay in Thailand for a longer period, then it’s best to apply for the tourist visa.
I returned from Laos overland on the 4th February and could only get a 14 day visa. The next leg of my trip is to Delhi on the 28th February. I understand I can get a 7 day extension then pay a 500 Baht/day fine for the overstay. Is this correct?
Where do I apply for the visa extension please and do I need any documents other than my passport and ticket?
You may apply for the visa extension at the nearest immigration office in your area of residence in Thailand. In applying for the extension, you will need to bring your passport, 2 passport-size photo and THB 1,900 extension fee.
I’m working in Thailand from March 2013. My visa expires on June 6th. They call for one month renewal on or before this date and then after one month, the visa gets extended for a year. Can I seek the embassy to ask the exact date on which they’ll call for the renewal so that it would be easy to fix the date for my wedding
Perhaps you can contact them directly to confirm your concern.
Hello I am travelling to Thailand in March/April for 31/32 days on holiday. I understand I get a 30-day tourist visa as a UK national – but will need to extend this for the extra 1/2 days?
Should I do this in advance of travel? What is the easiest way?
thank you
You may apply for the visa extension at the nearest immigration office in your area of residence in Thailand. In applying for the extension, you will need to bring your passport, 2 passport-size photo and THB 1,900 extension fee.
Hello,
I have a triple entry tourist visa from Thai embassy in Sweden and I recently been to immigration for an extension of one month between my two months period and now I also had to show a copy of landlord ID. But do I need that also when I go to Cambodia border and stamp passport and then go back on my last 60-day entry?
Kind regards,
Nick
No, the proof of residence is not required when you do border run to activate your second tourist visa entry.
I’ve been in Thailand for 6 weeks and am going home for a week. I am coming back to seek work and have booked hotel for 6 months.
What visa do I need initially? Do I need return flight as I intend to either apply for an extension or go else where?
You may apply for the 6-month tourist visa. Please note, however, that this visa is issued solely for tourism purpose and does not allow the holder to work legally in Thailand.
How can you prove you are a tourist?
Some documents which can prove that you are tourist include return tickets, proof of accommodation and itineraries.
Hello, I am from the UK. I have a 60 day visa which I will extend in Chiang Mai for a further 30days. After this I will leave Thailand for Malaysia, but I want to know how soon I can return to Thailand. Is it possible to return after a week for the visa free 30 days or is this not allowed? Kind regards. Laura
Yes, you may return back to Thailand after a week. As a matter of fact, you can even return back on the same day. As long as you can prove to the immigration officer that you are a bona fide tourist, you should be able to obtain a 30 days entry stamp when you come to Thailand.

I’m currently in Phi Phi and will be travelling to Phuket tomorrow.
Thank you.

My non-immigrant B visa expires on the 2nd of April 2016. My passport validity is 15-06-2016 (Belgium).
Do I need to renew my passport before getting the visa extension?
Thank you.
Bernard
Yes, you will be likely required to renew your passport in order to be given a new visa. Passport validity when applying for a visa must be at least 6 months.

Hi, I am currently staying in Thailand as a tourist. I have been here since late November. I extended my stay by one month in December, so my visa will expire on the 25th of January. I would like to stay for another 15 days. Can I go directly to Cambodia and obtain a 15-day visa or do I need to go to the embassy or consulate in Bangkok and get permission first? Thank you in advance.
Depending on your nationality, you may be able to obtain 15 days entry stamp when you do a border trip to Cambodia. If not, then you will be required to apply for a new visa from your country.
