Hi. I am Romanian and I have just 14 days visa. I am in Phi Phi and I want to extend my visa. How can I do that? Thank you.

I have a non O single entry volunteer visa. My work permit is being processed. I am applying for and have the letter for a 12 month extension to this as my visa expires soon.
My question is, do I have to leave Thailand to apply for my 12 month non O volunteer? Or can I do this at the immigration office in Phuket?
Normally, Non O visas based on volunteer work cannot be extended in Thailand. You would have to apply for a new visa at a Thai embassy or consulate in your home country or a neighboring country. You may also contact your local immigration office to inquire further.
Hi,
I am currently in Koh Samui with a 60-day tourist visa. My flight leaves one day after the visa expires so I was wondering what happens if I overstay instead of getting the extension. Thanks.
If you overstay your visa, you will be charged an overstay fee of 500THB per day.
Hi,
I have one year work permit for Thailand. But I have only 3 month visa on my passport, so can I extend it for one year? I mean what is the procedure? What documents are required? When can I apply so that I can get 1 year visa on my Passport? What should be the fees for this all?
Second I want to apply dependent visa for my wife. How can I process this? What documents are needed and which is the best procedure to apply this so that she can get 1 year dependent visa? How much would be the fees?
Please tell the whole procedure for both my concerns.
The extension fee is 1,900 THB. You will need to submit your application for extension to your local immigration office. For the requirements in extending your 90-day Non Immigrant B visa to a 12-month visa, kindly contact them for assistance.
In applying for a Non Immigrant O visa for your wife, she will need to get in touch with the Thai embassy or consulate in her home country or current residence for information and assistance.
I am in Thailand right now and my visa expires November 30 but I am wanting to extend it for another 30 days. How can I go about that without having to leave the country?
You may visit your local immigration office to inquire about extending your current visa for 30 days.
We are holders of a Danish passport and have 30 days visa when we arrive. Would it be possible to extend to the 60 days tourist visum in either Phuket or Bangkok while we are in Thailand?
The 30-day entry stamp can only be extended for another 30 days at an immigration office in Phuket or Bangkok. If you wish to apply for a 60-day tourist visa, you must apply through a Thai embassy or consulate outside of Thailand.
Okay thank you very much for your answer. It’s to late for us to make the visa from the Thai embassy here in Denmark, so we would have to do the extension. What is the fee?
The visa extension fee is 1,900 THB.
I am here on Non Ed visa for my training of six months. My visa expires on December 29, 20XX. Can I extend my visa at immigration office in Phuket? Or is it necessary for me to go to Bangkok (Nepal embassy)?
Depending on the documents that you present, you may be able to apply for an extension of your current ED visa. Kindly get in touch with the immigration office in Phuket near your current residence to inquire about the requirements and procedures.

Hi,
I’m currently on a 30-day visa in Thailand and have a planned flight to Malaysia on the 12th of November. However, I’ve mistakenly crossed the boarder to early making my visa in Thailand ends on the 11th of November. I’m just wondering what’s best to do for me regarding my one day over stay.
You can either apply for an extension on your current stamp at the immigration office near your location or pay for the 1-day overstay fine at the airport before leaving.
I have a non-immigrant F visa. It expires Nov 14. Can I now apply for a 2-month tourist visa without leaving the country?
A quick reply would be great.
Thanks.
Warren
It would not be possible. You need to exit Thailand to apply for the tourist visa at the Thai embassy or consulate in a neighboring country or your country of residence.
I got a 3 month tourist visa that runs out on 27th December. Can I apply for an extension? Also, can I apply again for 3 month visa?
You may apply for an extension at an immigration office in Thailand. Depending on your passport, you may get an additional 30 days on your current visa stamp.
Hi, I’ve got a Non Immigrant “B”, multiple entry Visa. It expired by middle of August. My 90 days end in early November. Can I get a 30 days extension at immigration office in Pattaya? Or do I have to leave the country?
Thanks in advance!
If you are able to meet the requirements necessary to apply for an extension on your current visa (such as a work permit and company documents), then you may apply for an extension on your current visa. However, if you are unable to provide the requirements, you will need to exit Thailand before your last 90-day stamp expires.
Hello, I currently have an extended tourist visa that will expire on November 1st. I would like to know if it’s necessary for tourists to report their residence on the 90th day?
No, you do not need to report your residence as you must exit Thailand before your 90-day stay expires.
Good afternoon. I studied in Thailand for three months (I had study visa) and now I have 3 months for traveling. I would like to ask if there is some restriction about number of entry to Thailand. I am planning to go abroad 3 times (3 times go back to Thailand and get tourist visa for 30 days) and wants to buy extension of tourist visa. Everything takes less than 90 days. Is it ok? Thank you for your response.
There is no limit to the number of times you enter Thailand as long as you have the appropriate visa applicable to the purpose and duration of your stay.
I will arrive in Thailand Jan 17, 2017. I will apply for a 60-day visa in Canada. I will only be in Bangkok for 5 days before going to Cambodia and Vietnam. I will be in those countries for approximately 21 days before returning to Thailand. Will my 60-day visa still be valid, less 5 days? Coming back to Thailand by land can I get a 30 day extension? Or do I receive 15-day visa and then have to apply for extension visa? Or fly in to Bangkok and get 30-day visa or 60-day visa?
You need to apply for re-entry permit before traveling to Cambodia so that you can continue to use the 60-day tourist visa you obtained in Canada. Based on your schedule, your visa will still be valid upon your return less 26 days.
Dear consultant,
My visa is go to expire in the second week of November and I need to to extend it via GRU office from my university but they don’t let me extend it for I was late to submit my passport to them within two weeks of my arrival. I have non-immigrant visa but I don’t know what type it is. It will be expired in November 10th. Can I extend it now to continue my study here? What should I do?
Please check your visa under “Category” to determine what type of Non Immigrant Visa you currently hold. Once you know what type you have, you may get in touch with the immigration office in your current location to apply for the visa extension. Please contact them to find out what requirements you will need to submit.
Hi, I am on 3 month business visa from (October to December) and have received the work permit also. Currently, I am in Hat Yai and will be travelling to India via Bangkok airport.

You can only apply for a visa extension at an immigration office in Thailand. Given your current location, kindly get in touch with the immigration office in Songkhla province.

Someone told me that the Multiple Entries on my one-year Non-Immigration ED visa will lose validity if I extend my current allowed 90 days stay, which ends on November 9th, at the immigration office and advised me to make a visa run instead. Problem is, I don’t have the time to do that. Is it true? Or should I just be fine with extending my visa at the immigration? I want to visit my family on Christmas, so I need the multiple entries. Thanks for your help.
If you obtained your 1-year Non Immigrant ED Visa with multiple entries from a Thai embassy or consulate outside of Thailand, you cannot apply for an extension on the 90-day entry. You will need to exit Thailand through one of the borders or by air before the 90-day period ends and you will receive another 90-day stamp upon reentry.
Hi! I’m currently in Thailand on a dependent visa, which I believe, is due to expire on December 3. I was wondering if it is possible to get a monthly extension on this as I would like to spend Christmas and new years here. Thanks.
You can apply for an extension of your visa at the immigration office in the province where you currently reside. The duration of extension will be determined by the officer who will review your application. Kindly get in touch with their office.
Hello,
My visa is non immigrant and will be expire on 1st November. If I want to extend for 7 days then, will they extend the visa or I have to leave the country? Any advice is appreciated.
Depending on the type of Non Immigrant Visa your currently hold, you may apply for an extension at the immigration office in your current location. It would be best that you get in touch with them to check about applying for the extension.
Hi, I entered Thailand on the 23rd September 2016 with a standard 30-day Tourist Visa. However, my passport was stamped stating that my visa only admits me until the 22nd of October. This works out as 29 days, not 30.
Is there any reason for this? If I stay the extra day to make it 30 days, will I be charged or penalized?
Kind regards.
September 23 to October 22 is indeed 30 days as the first date is counted beginning September 23. If you stay beyond this period, you may be charged a fee of 500THB per day of overstay.
Hello, I an currently applying for a K-1 fiance visa for my fiance to travel to the USA. I intend to travel to Thailand once the application is submitted and would prefer that we fly back to the USA together. My question is which visa would be best to obtain while waiting for the approval process which I understand can take 4-6 months. Also am I correct in understanding I need a return flight information to get approval on my visa?
Thank you for your time.
While the average processing time is 4-6 months, the timelines for the approval of the K1 visa application will still be on a case to case basis. Should you wish to stay in Thailand for a 6-month period, you may apply for a 6-month Multi Entry Tourist Visa from the Thai embassy or consulate near your location in the US.
For further information about the best visa option, kindly contact the Thai embassy or consulate.
My mother is a volunteer in Pattaya for 6 months. She has a Non-Immigrant Type ‘O’ visa and is coming near to the end of her first 90 days. Can she extend her stay in Thailand for another 90 days? Someone told her to do a visa run, but that would mean she would re-enter on a different visa and only for 30 days.
She should be able to apply for an extension in Chonbury and we would like to know exactly what documentation she needs to extend her stay. I expect it is the same as when she applied but with new letters regarding her stay in Thailand and another type of application form. Any advice is appreciated.
She will need to apply for a new Non Immigrant O visa from a Thai embassy or consulate in a neighboring country based on the purpose of doing volunteer work.
Is it still possible to extend the 30 days tourist visa at an immigration office? I’m staying 58 days in Thailand. I did that in January of 2016 at the local immigration office.
Depending on the passport that you hold, you can apply for a visa extension at a local immigration office for a maximum of 30 days.
